For the purpose of infection and bacterial control, as well as the identification of cleaning equipment used in different areas within your working environment, the following colour coding controls are used.
When handling or storing cleaning equipment, we make sure the colour coded items are kept separate from each other, as contact between two different coloured items can cause cross contamination. Our aim is to prevent the spread of bacteria and germs. Because we believe a clean workplace is a safe workplace.

We are proud to employ and retain first-class cleaning and maintenance professionals who are highly skilled and dedicated. As part of our selection criteria, all of our employees are screened for Federal Police Clearance. At all times they must be neatly attired by wearing the company supplied uniform and have proper appearance and hygiene at all times.
When it comes to personal development, our in-house training programmes are sophisticated and extensive, and are expressed through a combination of classroom and hands-on training methods.
Internal communication with our team happens on a variety of levels, through the circulation of a monthly newsletter, as well as scheduled staff and management meetings. As part of our Continuous Improvement program, all of our staff are encouraged to participate in a Suggestion Scheme, with the aim of implementing any improvements to our operational procedures.

Our Return to Work Policy
AVJ Property Services is committed to preventing injury and illness through providing a safe and healthy working environment for all employees. Any employee who suffers occupational injury or illness receives early medical diagnosis and treatment, and we will provide all the necessary resources for the establishment of an integrated rehabilitation program. When a return to work is not possible, we will ensure that through various consulting agencies, we assist the injured or ill employee return to a meaningful and fulfilling role within the community.
Our Drug & Alcohol Policy
As part of our efforts to achieve the highest standards of health and safety, AVJ Property Services will maintain a zero blood alcohol level and drug-free workplace. This means that all employees involved in the safe operation of the company’s worksite activities must have zero blood alcohol content, and be free of the influence of drugs whilst at work, or prior to the commencement of work.

Our Work Health & Safety Policy
AVJ Property Services considers the Work Health and Safety of all employees and contractors are of the utmost importance. Our greatest asset is our people therefore their long-term wellbeing is in our highest interest.
Under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011, anyone who can affect the health and safety in the workplace, has a legal and moral responsibility to take preventative and positive actions to protect others. This includes everyone in the workplace being aware of potential hazards and taking steps to avoid workplace accidents, injuries or illnesses.
As an employer, AVJ Property Services will provide:
